Pear Wood is a mild variety, with some similarities to Apple Wood, but with the sweetness cranked up a notch or three. We find this an excellent match for sausage and fish, while being similar to Apple Wood on Rib and Shoulder cuts. Excellent for Grill Top smoking in the smallest format.
This product is mostly comprised of a variety of "rounds" of differing sizes, typically including bark. Please see product pictures for examples in each size.

Beef - Ribs, Steaks, Roasts
Poultry - Chicken, Turkey, Game Birds
Fish - Salmon

Medium flavor, similar to Apple Wood, extremely sweet with most sausage and fish
"Small Chunks" are roughly 1.5" - 2" (in.) on the longest side. They fit well in small to medium and kettle smokers, regardless of heat source. They can also be used directly on covered grills. Can also be used in most large smokers in large enough quantity.
"Medium Chunks" are roughly 2.5" - 3.25" (in.) on the longest side. They fit most medium to large and side-box smokers. Please be sure your smoker can handle the listed size before ordering!
"Large Chunks" are roughly 4.5" - 5.5" (in.) on the longest side. They fit some medium and most large and side-box smokers. Please be sure your smoker can handle the listed size before ordering!
"When I first used this with Brats, we thought someone secretly rolled them in brown sugar before putting them in the smoker! We were blown away with the sweetness this Pear Wood imparts to sausage and fish. We use it on the grill top at the shop routinely and it never lets us down. It has become my favorite for Bratwurst in particular and rivals the Apple Wood with Salmon in my opinion."
