Mesquite is known for its strong earthy flavor, while being sweeter than Hickory, and considered to complement richly flavored meats such as Beef, Duck, and Lamb. Be careful not to overuse, as it is one of the strongest smoke flavors available. A very popular wood for smoking vegetables as well!
Part of our PitMaster Premium line, this product has been naturally seasoned and has a higher moisture content than kiln-dried wood. This product is mostly comprised of wedges and chunks derived from large rounds and may include bark. Some insect damage is likely to be present, and is considered typical. Please see product pictures for examples.
